Hello!

The WA State Board of Health and Department of Health are engaged in a joint rulemaking project to revise Chapter 246-101 WAC, the rule that outlines reporting requirements for all notifiable conditions.

Among other changes, the draft rule (if adopted by the State Board) would require regulated entities (labs, providers, facilities) to submit granular-level race, ethnicity, and language data for all notifiable conditions.

We would like to work with community organizations and coalitions to ensure these data categories are community-informed. We are organizing two information/work sessions: one on Oct 26 and one in November or December.

Please let us know your availability, so we can schedule dates that work for most partners.

For more information, please email LinhPhung Huynh (linhphung.huynh@doh.wa.gov).

Thank you! We appreciate your time.
