Crosstrails PEACE+ Social Enterprise Survey

The Heritage Crosstrails Project Proposal is a multifaceted initiative aimed at fostering Social Enterprise and enhancing green infrastructure within the rural border counties affected by the troubles, namely Down, Armagh, Louth, Monaghan, and Meath. This proposal will be submitted to the PEACE PLUS Programme investment area 2.4 for funding.  The project is poised to create 9 collaborative solutions implemented across various communities, which will lead to the support of 12 Social Enterprises. These enterprises will receive non-financial support, benefiting from community engagement and cross-border cooperation.
At its core, the project intends to invest in Social Enterprises and Green Spaces, thus improving health, infrastructure and promoting prosperity. The planned interventions are as follows:
Providing Support to Social Enterprises :  Non-financial support to Social Enterprises to build capacity and strengthen the bid. (Details of specific needs to be determined via this Survey)
Cultural Workshops: These will involve the community in decision-making regarding cultural and heritage matters, aiming to support rural activities and bolster local social enterprises.
PEACE Trails: Intended to link heritage sites and improve health through outdoor activity, the project plans to develop trails and signage that connect communities with their cultural and archaeological heritage. This includes prominent sites that support eco-tourism and encourage cross-community interaction.
Specific trails mentioned for development or enhancement include:
Maghery Country Park Trail
Oxford Island Trail
Delamont Country Trail
Kells Commons of Lloyd Amenity Park Trail
Rossmore Walled Garden Trail
