Background: The bike park has generally been open to the public since 2025. We understand some of the present use is by motorized and class 3 electric-assisted bikes, which is not condoned by Anchorage Parks and Recreation (APR). APR is not an enforcement agency and relies on signage, community use, and trail etiquette to maintain safe riding conditions at the bike park for human powered, and low speed electric-assisted bicycles (with a maximum speed up to 20 mph). Please refer to AO 2024-051(s) for additional information.

The concepts shown are not finished designs, but show a range of possible features within the bike park space.
Concept 1: Bike skills development
The bike park is intended to provide skill-building with a progression of features, lines, and terrain, from beginners to advanced. Over half the features are geared toward beginning to intermediate riders, with some challenging advanced jump lines to aspire to!

Key features: beginning to advanced jump lines, as well as flow and jump lines, a skills building zone, and an new intermediate pump track with jumps.
Concept 2: Skills Building with E-bike Optimized Trails
This option provides a space within the bike park for E-bike optimized trails (pedal assist only). Like Concept 1, a progression of trails are provided.

Key Features: The E-bike optimized up/down flow trails have replaced the intermediate pump track. Most of the bike routes are jump lines, with less flow trails than in Concept 1.
