In line with the international response to the Coronavirus pandemic, Journalists for Human Rights (JHR) are implementing a media development programme, training local journalists to effectively communicate public health measures using a human rights-based reporting approach, while debunking disinformation and misinformation about the pandemic. Part of the project is to develop a thorough understanding of Human Rights or social justice-leaning organisations in South Africa and their unique challenges/successes pre and during the pandemic.

The survey data will only be used to measure the impact of the project against the baseline, assess progress throughout the project implementation, and help evaluate the project’s impact after concluding all programmatic activities in the country.
