The Our Health Centre Foundation will present up to two (2) $5,000 awards to a second-year student currently enrolled in a Nova Scotia post-secondary program in medicine, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or nursing. Preference will be given to a student with a demonstrated connection to the region that Our Health Centre serves.
This award was created to honour the legacy of Dr. Joy Calkin, who spent her career helping others and was instrumental in the planning and opening of OHC in Chester, Nova Scotia.
