Expression of Interest in the 2026 Geographe Rabbit Control RHDV1-K5 Release Program

Do you have a rabbit problem on your property?

This summer, GeoCatch is teaming up with Leschenault Biosecurity Group (LBG) to deliver a rabbit control program. While K5 calicivirus is not a silver bullet, it can provide a significant population knockdown as a precursor to follow-up control measures.

We aim to commence the knockdown program in early December 2026.

Prior to the program, GeoCatch and LBG will host a rabbit control workshop in mid-November to provide more information about the K5 release and other effective rabbit control methods.

More information on RHDV1 K5 can be found on the website: Rabbit control: RHDV1 K5
1.Contact details
2.What is the estimated rabbit population on your property?
3.What is the size of your property?
4.Please confirm if you are interested in participating in the Geographe Catchment 2026 Calicivirus RHDV1-K5 Release Program. NOTE: There is an expectation for the participant to commit to the pre-feeding process, and a contribution of $80 per landholder towards administration and materials.
Thank you for your interest, GeoCatch will be in touch with you soon with more information about the program and the rabbit control workshop.

Please note that submitting this expression of interest form does not confirm a place in the program. A short pre-screening process will be undertaken by us closer to the control period, which is required before vials are allocated. This helps us ensure the virus reaches properties where it will be most effective, and that we're not releasing into populations that may already have immunity.

If you have any queries please contact Kim on GeoCatch on 0491 069 078.

Thank you.
