Virtual Lecture 12:00 – 1:00 PM, followed by Panel Discussion 1:00 – 1:30 PM

The worldwide COVID19 pandemic has sparked new interest in using wastewater as a means of population-level disease tracking. Advances in RNA detection now allow wastewater to be used as a snapshot of the health of a community. A panel of experts currently using these techniques to monitor COVID19 infections in Massachusetts will discuss the state of the science, how it is helping manage the pandemic and what the future might hold.
