Our project, Skills Heritage – Your London, Your Story will focus on young apprentices and trainees telling us their story; how and why they chose the Apprenticeship/Traineeship path, and to link the skills they are working towards with those that were achieved by the generations before them.

* 1. Do you know if you have a parent, grandparent, or relative/guardian who was an apprentice?

* 2. If you said yes to the first question, with our help, would you like to interview your relation/guardian about their Apprenticeship, and to compare their experience with your own?

* 3. You can interview your relative/guardian in a number of ways. We will supply a list of standard questions for you to work from, and of course, you're free to ask more! How would you like to interview your relative/guardian?

* 4. You may find your relative/guardian has photographs or video footage from when they were a young apprentice. If so, would you be happy to share them for the project? We plan to have a dedicated website to Skills Heritage where you can share your stories, photographs and films.

* 5. Once you have interviewed your relative/guardian you will be able to compare the experience they had in the past with your own Apprentice Journey. Would you be happy to share your experiences with us for the project? We're planning to use Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and have a dedicated blog of Then and Now stories. Does this sound like something that would interest you?

* 6. In your opinion, which of the following ways of communication do you prefer.

* 7. As part of this project we plan to organise trips to Historic Buildings in and around London, including Livery Halls, so that you can see where crafts and skills started. We hope this will give you an opportunity to see the value and importance of skills in the past, and how important your skills are now, for the present, and our future! Is this something that would be of interest?

* 8. This project is all about you. We want to ensure it's something you'd enjoy being a part of. Do you think this would be a project of interest to you?

* 9. Thank you so much for completing our survey. We'd appreciate it if you could leave your contact details. We can assure you your details will not be passed onto a third party and our plan is to contact your Training Provider in the first instance whilst working on this project.

Thanks again for taking the time to complete our survey. We really appreciate it and will be in touch soon, via your Training Provider, if you are interested in taking part.
