Illinois Green Alliance's Programs Committee is excited to announce the Call for Education Proposals 2026!

About Illinois Green Educational Programs:

Illinois Green seeks to increase industry knowledge on the path to net zero buildings through programs that empower others to take action. Our programs strive to inform professionals from all industries interested in green building (building owners, managers, engineers, designers, occupants, and more) by creating programs around:

Shared best practices around high performance and healthy buildings.
Challenges and successes that move the green building market and policies toward a net zero future in Illinois.
Removing barriers to implementation of building decarbonization.
Demonstrating how high performance technology and building methods are attainable in Illinois

We encourage sessions to call on a diverse panel of experts and promote dialogue about the subject matter between panelists and audience members. The programs committee will assist in diversifying speakers if a panel includes multiple speakers from one company/affiliation. Accepted programs may be adjusted at the committee's discretion to better serve our audience and align with our mission.

Environmental sustainability and social justice are inextricably linked. For that reason, Illinois Green Alliance is continuously working to ensure our organizational mission and strategy are equitable, inclusive, and just. We are committed to equipping our leaders and staff with tools and mindsets that advance equity in our work and dismantle systemic oppression.

Following our commitment to principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, Illinois Green invites submissions from individuals, teams, and firms that are led by or include significant contributions from individuals who represent traditionally marginalized communities, including women, racial minorities, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and individuals with disabilities, among others. Proposals with ED&I considerations will be prioritized.
