Wednesday Family Night
Adults have four options to choose from:
— In-depth Bible study on Jesus’ parables with Pastor Art Campbell. Pastor Art is a retired Baptist minister and is currently serving as a chaplain at Stormont Vail Hospital. Don’t forget to bring your Bible.
— Gratitude Journaling. Gratitude can transform you. It can pull you from the vortex of negativity that is sucking the life out of you and give you a renewed sense of purpose and joy. And the simplest way to practice gratitude is to turn it into a daily habit, specifically by committing to gratitude journaling. A gratitude journal is a diary of things for which one is grateful. Gratitude journals are used by individuals who wish to focus their attention on the positive things in their lives. Gratitude is expressing appreciation for what you have right now. You have gratitude for the people in your life. And gratitude for all good things that are available to you in this moment. We will learn the what’s, when’s, how’s and why’s of gratitude journaling. Those participating will get to try different formats and see what style they enjoy. It will be led by Cynthia Stotlar-Hedberg.
— Women’s DVD Bible Study “The Quest” by Beth Moore. The Quest is a challenge to accept the invitation. In this excursion with Jesus, Beth Moore uses questions from Scripture to lead you into intimacy with the One who knows you best. Learn to dig into the Word, to respond to the questions of God, and to bring your questions before Him. The study will be led by Beth Hanes. Cost: $15.00.
— “Crazy Love” a DVD Bible study by Francis Chan with Walter Schoemaker. God is love. Have you ever wondered if we're missing it? It's crazy, if you think about it. The God of the universe, the Creator of nitrogen and pine needles, galaxies loves us with a radical, unconditional, self-sacrificing love. And what is our typical response? We go to church, sing songs, and try not to cuss. Whether you've verbalized it yet or not, we all know something's wrong. Cost: $10.00.
