Fingal County Council Summer Project Funding Scheme

What is the purpose of the Summer Project Funding Scheme?
To provide financial support to community groups to provide a programme of recreational and educational activities for young people during the summer period.

Where does the money come from?
The grant allocation is provided by Fingal County Council. It is administered by the Community Culture and Sports Division .

Who can apply?
Applications are open to Community and Voluntary groups that  providing opportunities for young people. Single interest and membership based organisations must ensure their summer project is open to the public.
Groups must have insurance, be Child Protection compliant, have Garda Vetted their colunteers and be register on the Fingal Community County Register  online

Type of Project Funded?
This scheme can support a wide variety of child-focused activities. Projects focus on environmental awareness, community/civic awareness, Intercultural or integration activities and  sports/ recreational activities. 

A summer project must run for a minimum of 1 week to a maximum of 4 weeks (the project must run 5 days of a week).
How much can a group apply for?
The maximum funding available to Summer Project groups is
€10 per Child/ per week to a maximum of €1,500 (non designated area) or
€15 per Child/ per week to a maximum of €2,000 (designated area).
