The objectives for this session were: Objectives:
After the presentation, participants will:
1. Define origins of sleep issues when child comes from traumatic or neglectful settings.
2. Identify parental perspective of the sleep management techniques and their "lived experiences". This includes their experiences with healthcare support related to sleep issues.
3. Discuss a myriad of successful sleep management techniques to relieve nighttime fears.
4. Translate how internationally adopted children's sleep issues may benefit other children with sleep issues who have experienced trauma and or neglect
