The Washington State Department of Transportation is conducting a planning study, in partnership with Klickitat County and the Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council.

The principal focus of this survey is to gather community feedback which will inform decision making to identify practical, cost-effective concepts to help improve safety for people who walk and bike along State Route 142, in Klickitat.

What’s next?

With your input, WSDOT will develop concepts to help improve bicycle and pedestrian safety along SR 142. In spring 2020, WSDOT will share these concepts with the community, via the project web page and at an open house, for continued input. At the end of this planning study, WSDOT will identify cost-effective bicycle and pedestrian safety improvements, which could be implemented in 2024, when WSDOT is scheduled to pave this stretch of highway.
