What stories have shaped you? Inspired you? Entertained you? This non-juried exhibition invites artists to share a 2D or 3D illustration of a fictional story they love. Show us your interpretation of a character, location, or scene from a book, comic, manga, movie, TV show, and much more. Artists may also choose to illustrate a fictional story that they wrote themselves!
The exhibition will be displayed in WAM's Higgins Education Wing and will be free and open to the public.
Applicability: Anyone may submit one piece.
Size: Maximum dimensions: 2D work no larger than 3’ x 3' when framed, 3D work no larger than 2'x3'x2' and 50 lbs. No multi-part artworks, such as diptychs and triptychs.
Ready to Hang: All work must be ready to hang/install with a wire, a hanging hook, or be able to be thumbtacked to the wall. PLEASE HAVE YOUR FULL NAME WRITTEN CLEARLY SOMEWHERE ON YOUR PIECE FOR IDENTIFICATION DURING HANGING.
Drop-off: Please drop off your artwork at the studio programs office (2405), in the Higgins Education Wing. Drop off dates are 11/9/2026 - 11/20/2026, Tue-Sat, 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. NO DROP-OFFS MONDAYS OR SUNDAYS. NO DROP OFFS NOVEMBER 11.
Art Pick Up: 1/11/2027 - 1/29/2027. Tue-Sat, 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., NO PICK-UPS MONDAYS OR SUNDAYS. NO PICK UPS JANUARY 18.
