ARPA Community Survey

Loudoun County is asking residents and employers to provide input on how the county should spend the remaining $7.5 million of the $80 million it received from the federal American Rescue Plan Act.

The American Rescue Plan Act financially supports local communities as they address the negative impacts of COVID-19 and lay the foundation for recovery. Loudoun County has already applied ARPA funds to areas that are important to residents and businesses, including affordable housing, water and wastewater projects, emergency support for non-profits, and the county’s response to the pandemic.

On our survey, you’ll see a list of five topics. They range from child care to transportation to economic development. The survey asks you to rank the top three topics in priority order, and then will ask you for specific areas within those topics that are most important to you.

There is also a blank field where residents can add other items that aren’t already on the list. Once you’ve finished, click “finish.” The process can be completed in minutes.

The anonymous survey will remain open through December 23, 2022.

The Board of Supervisors, along with county staff, will review the responses and use them to inform how they will allocate the $7.5 million remaining in reserve ARPA funds.

The ARPA funds must be allocated by Dec. 31, 2024. All funding must be used by Dec. 31, 2026.
