MH Boxes is a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to empowering adolescent Black girls facing mental health challenges by breaking down stigma, sparking honest conversations, and building peer support networks that foster healing, resilience, and hope.

Completing this application does not guarantee appointment to the Board. Applications will be reviewed based on current organizational needs, candidate experience, capacity, and alignment with the mission of MH Boxes.

Before You Begin
Please plan to spend approximately 20–30 minutes completing this application. We encourage you to set aside enough uninterrupted time to thoughtfully consider and respond to each question. We take Board recruitment seriously because the strength, sustainability, and future of MH Boxes depend on having the right people at the table. We are seeking Board members who genuinely believe in our mission and are prepared to actively contribute their time, talent, treasure, relationships, and expertise to help the organization grow.

MH Boxes is a working Board, and service requires more than attending meetings. We are looking for individuals who have the capacity and commitment to participate, follow through on responsibilities, support fundraising, contribute to projects and committees, make meaningful connections, and serve as active ambassadors for our mission. Before applying, please consider whether you currently have the capacity to actively participate in Board meetings, committee work, fundraising, relationship-building, organizational projects, and community engagement.

There are no "perfect" answers. We simply ask that you complete the application honestly, intentionally, and thoroughly so that we can determine whether MH Boxes and Board service are the right fit for you, and whether your skills and interests align with the organization's current needs.
