Safety and security training: Training students and staff to prevent and respond to emergencies.

Visitor management: Systems to authorize and identify visitors to a school.

Perimeter security: Fencing, landscaping, hardscaping and barrier systems to manage access to school campuses and buildings.

Entry doors: Outer doors to buildings. This topic can include double doors, strengthened doors, intercoms, cameras and metal detectors.

Access control: Systems that control access to school locations. This topic can include key cards, electronic locks and door barriers on interior and classroom doors.

Armed personnel: Adults on school campuses who are trained and authorized to carry firearms.

Student support services: Services to support the physical and mental wellness of students which include counselors, social workers, peer support groups, intervention/prevention programs and before/after-school programs.
