NADF Fludrocortisone Acetate Follow-up Survey

Many were affected by a recent shortage of fludrocortisone acetate, a medication taken daily by patients whose adrenal glands do not produce aldosterone. The shortage occurred when Teva Pharmaceuticals stopped manufacturing this vital medication last fall. There are only two companies that produce fludrocortisone for the US market, Teva Pharmaceutical and Impax/Amneal.  To resolve this situation, Impax/Amneal is increasing production of fludrocortisone to meet the demand and Teva is in the process of starting the production again with projected resupply in mid-April 2019.

This follow-up survey will help us assess whether the increase in production is working effectively.
