Study Information: You are invited to participate in research conducted by Montana State University's Western Transportation Institute on behalf of Blaine County. David Kack is the Principal Investigator leading this research. The purpose of this study is to gather community input to inform the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Safety Action Plan for Blaine County, Montana.
You are being asked to participate because you live, work, or travel within Blaine County. Your perspective will help identify transportation safety concerns and guide future transportation improvements.
Participation and Time Commitment: Participation is voluntary. The consent process, survey, and mapping activity will take approximately 10–20 minutes to complete. You may choose not to answer any question and may stop participating at any time without penalty.
Risks and Benefits: This study involves minimal risk. Some questions may ask you to think about transportation safety concerns or past experiences that could cause minor emotional discomfort. There is no direct benefit to you; however, your responses may help improve transportation safety planning within Blaine County.
Confidentiality and Data Use: No names or personally identifying information will be collected in the survey. Survey responses will be combined with those of other participants and reported only in summary form. Survey links may be distributed by community Task Force members through their existing networks, but the research team will not collect or maintain participant email addresses. Data will be securely stored by Montana State University and access will be limited to authorized members of the research team.
