To be eligible for this scheme, clubs must:
- Be officially affiliated with the Irish Football Association (IFA) and registered with a recognized league or governing body.
- Be a non-profit organisation with a constitution or governance structure in place.
- Be based in Northern Ireland and operating within the Irish FA’s jurisdiction.
- Own or hold a lease (minimum five years) on the property where improvements will be made.
- Use the materials for facility improvements such as pitch maintenance, changing rooms, spectator areas, or accessibility enhancements.
- Provide evidence of the need for improvements and the benefit to the club and wider community.
- Ensure all proposed work complies with local planning and building regulations where applicable.
- Demonstrate financial sustainability and a commitment to maintaining the facilities after the project is completed.
- Have no outstanding debts or disciplinary sanctions with the Irish FA.
- Submit recent annual accounts as part of the application.
