Introduction to Judaism Marketing Grants 2018-2019

Through the generosity of the National Center to Encourage Judaism (NCEJ), the URJ is offering marketing grants to URJ congregations for Introduction to Judaism courses scheduled to start between September 2018 and December 2019. Courses must meet for at least 15 sessions or 30 class hours and be designed to welcome interfaith couples, individuals exploring becoming Jewish through conversion, and others.   

Grant amount and purpose

Grant awards can be used to reimburse congregations for up to $2000 spent for local advertising. No matching congregational advertising funds are required. Grantee congregations agree to complete a brief survey about the class.

Eligibility

Eligible congregations 1) have not received an Introduction to Judaism marketing grant from the URJ or an NCEJ grant between 2016-present 2) are current with their URJ Membership Commitment (RMAC), and 3) are not located in communities that were supported by a URJ-coordinated Introduction to Judaism program in 2018. These include: Greater Phoenix, Greater Boston, Southern California, Cincinnati, Chicago and suburbs, Miami-Dade, Greater Philadelphia/South Jersey, Northern & Central New Jersey, New York City, Seattle, St. Louis, Greater Washington, DC.
