* 15. Do you understand that this internship is like a job? You are required to arrive on time, dress and behave professionally, communicate with your host, and follow all guidelines and expectations provided by the host, complete your assigned projects and hours (approx. 20 to 30 hours a week)?

* 16. Are you able to commit to the entire six-week internship (approximately 30 hours a week)? If able to work remotely, excused absences can be made up by working from home. For Ag internships, excused absences must be made up on the weekend. Unexcused absences may cause termination from the program or reduction of stipend.

* 17. As part of the program requirement, you must participate in weekly professional development webinars. Your internship will allow one-day off a week for you to participate. Are you able to participate in the weekly webinars (you have access to the internet and a computer with a microphone and speakers)?

* 18. As part of the program requirement, you must participate in the the Pre-internship Meeting that will be held one or two weeks before the start of your internship date. The meeting will be held in Kihei, Maui.

If you live off-island, your parents or guardians will need to sign a transportation permission form, and we will provide you with airline tickets and taxi or shuttle transportation to our MEDB headquarters.

* 19. As part of the program requirement, you must participate in the end-of-internship celebration which will be held on Maui in Kihei. You will be required to create a PowerPoint or Prezi to showcase your summer project and present it to an audience of peers, mentors, and families.

If you live off-island, your parents or guardians will need to sign a transportation permission form, and we will provide you with airline tickets and taxi or shuttle transportation to our MEDB headquarters. Your parents/guardians are welcome to attend, but we will not be able to cover their transportation.
