1. NASCA is accepting request from states to host the 2017 and the 2018 Institute

Event overview:
The NASCA Institute on Management and Leadership is a premier and engaging two-day executive education program. This one of a kind event invites private sector partners to sit alongside state members to discuss challenges and develop new tools for success in state government. The Institute on Management and Leadership is a highly interactive executive development and networking event that reflects the practical interests of state members. The agenda features four broad activities: Executive Development Sessions, Case Studies, Facilitated Networking and Peer-to-Peer Coaching.

There is an average of 80-100 attendees at this event and the attendees are made up of 50% state attendees (i.e. state chief administrators, commissioners, directors, secretaries) and 50% private sector and partner associations.

At this time, NASCA only holds the annual Institute on Management and Leadership in capital cities.

Host State Requirements/Requests:
The Host state assists AMR/NASCA in determining the best hotel for the meeting; AMR negotiates contract and handles all pre-meeting and on-site logistics. We also need the Host states assistance in determining a location for one reception; AMR plans the reception, signs all contracts, etc.
