Program Description

Overview
The Philadelphia Education Fund (PEF) is collaborating with GSK (Glaxo-Smith-Kline) on the Philadelphia STEM Ecosystem and Philadelphia STEM Equity Collective. Through this partnership, we are launching and coordinating an affinity group for regional industries and businesses engaged in STEM education. The goals will be to:

1. Equip members with an understanding of the local STEM landscape, so they can make informed decisions about where to invest time and finances.
2. Provide a forum in which participants can share successes, challenges, and strategies – to maximize the effectiveness of their support.
3. Explore ways in which members can collaborate on projects that generate long-term impact.
4. Provide opportunities for participants to showcase their STEM engagement to a wider audience.

Details
1. Members can represent STEM businesses or industries or be individuals interested in this work.
2. We have designed this group based on research pertaining to similar initiatives.
3. We anticipate that the group will meet monthly (virtually), with some activity between meetings. We will schedule meetings at members' convenience.
4. PEF commits to timely communication, well-run meetings, and opportunities for participants’ input.

Next Steps
1. If you are interested in learning more about or joining this group, please compete this short survey (which does not obligate you to participate).
2. Multiple individuals from the same company can participate.
3. Please share this information with colleagues inside and outside of your organization.
3. We would like surveys completed by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 25.

We excited to launch this affinity group and see it flourish. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any additional details or information.
