You are invited to submit an abstract
Co-hosted by the Tajikeimɨk Office of L’nu Nursing and CIHR Chair in Indigenous Health Nursing NS, the inaugural Wapna’ki L’nu Nursing Research Conference is taking place November 12–13, 2026, at Fox Harb’r Resort in Mi’kma’ki.
The conference will showcase Indigenous nursing knowledge and research, and create space for Indigenous nurses, healthcare workers, Elders, community Knowledge Holders, nursing faculty and educators, Indigenous nursing students, health leaders and researchers to share knowledge, build relationships, and inspire future Indigenous nursing research that will impact the health and wellbeing of Mi’kmaq and Indigenous people.
Abstracts of completed research; proposed and ethically approved projects; and projects in development with community involvement and approval that contribute to Indigenous Peoples’ health and wellbeing in community, education, or healthcare settings are of interest.
*Presenters with accepted abstracts will receive travel and registration bursaries. Please note presentations will be 20 minutes in length - 15 minutes for knowledge sharing and 5 minutes for questions.
Submissions will be accepted until 7 PM ATL on June 26, 2026.
