Inclusive Planning and Shared-Use Mobility:
Ensuring Diversity of Perspective in a Changing Transportation Environment

Tuesday, February 14th, 2pm EST (1pm CST, 12pm MST, 11am PST)

The increasing availability of new transportation services, especially shared-use mobility and technology-enabled ride sharing, has seen changes in the way Americans get around cities, suburbs and rural areas. As these services spread across the country their use by aging populations and other groups with special needs necessitates a conversation: how do we ensure that all people can access cost effective and on-demand services and what are strategies that can be used to include voices and perspectives of older adults to inform the planning process?

This webinar aims to give attendees a brief overview of the state of our nation in terms of shared-use mobility and other ride sharing services. In addition to that overview, we will hear about an exciting pilot program between Brookdale Senior Living Solutions and Lyft. The overall goal of this webinar is to discuss the importance of and showcase the extent to which planning these services and programs must include the participation of all potential users, especially aging populations, those with physical and development disabilities, and a vast array of other user groups with their own specific needs.

This webinar is jointly presented by the National Center for Mobility Management (NCMM), the Administration for Community Living's Transit Planning for All project (ACL) and the Shared-Use Mobility Center (SUMC).
