The best in-class activities do more than just get students talking: they lead to higher levels of learning by requiring students to practice authentic, higher-level disciplinary thinking. Ensuring that activities lead to the type of learning we’ve targeted requires some forethought not only about the design of the activity itself, but also about how we will manage the debrief and discussion that follow. In this intensive half-day workshop, you will learn processes and strategies for activity design, as well as methods of debrief and discussion, to help ensure that the outcomes of learning activities align with your expectations.
