The TTC launched a pilot program in March 2025 to improve service reliability, reduce delays, and enhance the customer experience. One key aspect of the program is consolidating closely spaced stops to speed streetcar service and make travel times more consistent.
Starting as early as March 15, 2026, the TTC is proposing a plan to remove nine stops along the 512 St Clair route.
Stops to be removed:
- Old Stock Yard
- Silverthorn / Hounslow Heath
- Northcliffe (both directions)
- Tweedsmuir (both directions)
- Dunvegan (both directions)
