Overview of the Immunization Integration Program and the Survey

Thank you for participating in our survey regarding immunization-related capabilities for electronic health records (EHRs) and other clinical software, as well as clinician reporting to immunization information systems (also known as immunization registries).

HIMSS, the Drummond Group, and Chickasaw Health Consulting, LLC (CHC), under a contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), are advancing the integration of immunization capabilities within EHRs through the Immunization Integration Program, by:

- Facilitating agreement on priority immunization-related software capabilities;
- Enabling software developers to voluntarily test and achieve recognition of their products for inclusion of these capabilities; and
- Providing guidance for improving usability of immunization-related software functions.

CHC is fielding this survey as part of its evaluation activities associated with the Program. Individual information collected through this voluntary survey will be kept confidential. De-identified, aggregated, synthesized survey findings will be shared with the public over the next year.

Integrating immunization-related capabilities within clinical software is expected to improve clinical and patient decision-making by providing more timely access to immunization histories and forecasts and enhancing information sharing between EHRs and immunization information systems.

Your valuable input will inform the ongoing improvement of the Immunization Integration Program.

Thank you for taking a moment to provide your helpful feedback.
