During our Imagining Hope program, we have been encouraged to reflect on the way we give our time and finances towards the mission of God. We now offer an invitation for you to review your regular financial giving towards the growth of God’s mission here at Turramurra Uniting Church. Vital to our continued growth and engagement in achieving our goals is our financial planning. As you know our goal is to expand our ministry team by employing an additional part-time minister. Your response will assist us in being both compassionate and responsible – compassionate towards our congregation’s needs and responsible towards employing a minister for three to five years.
We do not need to know how much you are giving at present, but to be able to confidently move forward with the proposed budget and our goal it would be helpful if we knew the amount you are able to increase or decrease if you feel that is necessary and the frequency you plan to give this amount.
We are excited about our mission for the coming year. As a church we are hoping to invest in God’s mission each year:
- $195,000 into faith and discipleship ministries
- $90,000 into the children, youth and families of our church & community
- $70,000 into pastorally supporting generations, especially our seniors
- $110,000 into supporting and participating in God’s mission in our community, regionally and internationally.
In these figures for 2020 there is an overall expansion of the income and expenditure of about $60,000.
