* 8. We are currently recruiting reviewers for IUSE Chemistry Development & Implementation tier proposals submitted by the December 11, 2018 deadline. [Conflicts of Interest: If you are PI, co-PI, or senior personnel on any IUSE proposal that is (or soon will be) pending a decision, or if you or a family member stand to gain financially from any IUSE proposal that is (or soon will be) pending a decision, you may not participate as an IUSE reviewer. If someone from your institution is submitting an IUSE proposal to the Development & Implementation competition for the Dec 11 deadline, you may not review for the IUSE discipline to which such proposal(s) were submitted, but you may review for a different IUSE discipline.]

Panelists will be asked to read and prepare reviews for about 10 proposals prior to the start of the panel meeting. Then the panel will meet at NSF Headquarters in Alexandria Virginia on January 28-29 or February 11-12 to discuss the proposals and reviews. Each panelist will also be assigned to write a summary of the discussion for a small subset of the proposals. For your service as a reviewer, if you live outside the Washington DC metropolitan area, NSF will provide transportation (as arranged by our travel management contractor), and pay you a flat rate of $480/day on meeting days and $280/day on travel only days (typically totaling $1,240) that will cover lodging, meals, and incidental expenses. If you are a local reviewer, the flate rate is $280/day on meeting days (typically totaling $560).

Are you able to participate in a review panel meeting in Alexandria, Virginia on January 28-29 or February 11-12? (If you answer "Yes", an additional question regarding your availability will follow.)
