Hello, and thank you for volunteering for ITE's Smart Communities Survey.  In the February ITE Journal, ITE International President Shawn Leight defined Smart Communities as a community which gathers, integrates, and analyzes data to enable informed and data-driven decision making.  As this topic is gaining steam, the ITE Board deemed it one of its "hot topics" for 2017.  Therefore, in order to determine where we are going on this important topic, we need to gather the necessary information and feedback from you, the membership.  This will help ITE determine how it fits in the broader Smart Communities area.  Along with surveys like this, facilitated discussions will be delivered at select District and Section meetings to shape a well-informed dialogue and plan for the Institute for 2018.  Thank you again for your volunteer efforts!
