Overview

What:
In-Store Pick is a feature on acehardware.com that gives consumers the ability to view your product availability through any device (mobile, tablet or desktop) on acehardware.com, complete their purchase online and have it fulfilled by your store’s inventory within two hours of receiving notification.

Why:
In-Store Pick supports Ace Hardware’s helpful and convenient brand promise. Moreover, the In-Store Pick program provides value to both the consumer and retailer in a variety of ways. For the online consumer convenience is key. By enhancing your online presence with In-Store Pick, you offer your customers convenient same day service and help them complete their projects faster. In return, you benefit from having more consumers driven into your store and increase the potential of creating a repeat customer with the propensity to spend more money and turn your inventory faster. 
 
If you are ready to sign up for In-Store Pick, there are a few items you will need to address to ensure the successful implementation of these programs at your store: 
  1. Review the Quick Start Guide on BOPIS, BODFS and Assembly guide on ACENET. (This can be found on ACENET under Marketing > Digital Marketing > acehardware.com > BOPIS, BODFS & Assembly > Quick Start Guide)
  2. Have the appropriate staff members complete all Acehardware.com Order System, Delivery and Assembly courses in Ace Learning Place (This can be found on ACENET under Manage My Store > People Management > Ace Learning Place):

  3. Complete and submit this agreement.
Terms and Conditions

System / Inventory Requirements
  • I agree to send to Ace Point-of-Sale and inventory data transmissions for my Store on a nightly basis.
  • I confirm that my Store uses one of the following Point-of-Sale systems: (1) Epicor - Eagle Point-of-Sale system, software release 21.1785.133 or higher, Propello, or BisTrack or (2) Paladin BUILD 1.903.8820.X. or higher or (3) RockSolid 5.2 or higher or (4) Spruce 12.13 or (5) Mi9.
  • In addition to the nightly transmission, I agree to send multiple inventory data files throughout the day, by enabling the applicable Point-of-Sale queues, to ensure quantity on hand values are properly communicated to acehardware.com.
  • I agree to maintain a high level of inventory record accuracy (e.g. system counts match sales floor counts) to avoid disappointing consumers during the In-Store Pick ordering process.
Program Requirements:
  • I agree to participate in the ‘My Store’ application on acehardware.com (or such other store locator functionality as Ace may determine is necessary in connection with the Program) and I agree to actively update the information required by the My Store application, at least quarterly.
  • I agree to successfully complete training, or arrange for at least one member of my staff to successfully complete training, on the in-store fulfillment of web orders. I agree that a minimum of one member of my retail staff will be trained for the application at all times, including in the event of employee transitions and terminations.
  • I agree to designate a “web order” pickup area (e.g. Service Counter), with an internet enabled device and printer at that location.
  • I will display store signage promoting the In-Store Pick program for web orders.
  • I will accept all acehardware.com product orders and returns.
Process Requirements:
  • I agree to complete the Pick Confirmation process in a very timely manner, but no later than one hour after receipt of the notice of the order. If I do not complete the Pick Confirmation process within this time frame, I understand the order is subject to cancellation.
  • I agree to retain the In-Store Pick item(s) for seven days.
  • I will contact the consumer if the order is not picked up after the third day, to ensure the consumer still wants the item(s).
  • In the event the customer abandons the order, I will either return the item(s) to Ace or incorporate the item(s) into my Store’s inventory, in accordance with standard acehardware.com claims process.
  • After the customer picks up the order, I will confirm to Ace, within the AOS or ARMA (Ace Retailer Mobile Application), that the order has been accepted by the customer.
  • I acknowledge and agree that excessive order cancellations and/or returns not filed through the ACENET process are not permitted, and that Ace may terminate my participation in the Program if Ace determines there have been such excessive order cancellations and/or returns.
Additional Terms:
  • I acknowledge that the Program may evolve over time and that new requirements may be necessary for the successful operation of the Programs. Accordingly, I agree to abide by all other requirements for participation in the Program, as deemed mandatory by Ace.
  • In the event I do not wish to continue to participate in this Programs, I may notify Ace, at any time, in writing, that I wish to withdraw my Store from the Programs. I acknowledge that it may take time for Ace to remove my Store from the Programs and that, until my Store is removed, I will continue to abide by the terms hereof.
  • I fully acknowledge and agree that failure to meet the Programs’ requirements may result in my Store being removed from the Programs and that, in such event, Ace may immediately terminate this Agreement.

Notice: 
Before your employee uses their personal mobile device for business purposes, Ace owners should consult with their own attorney to ensure they are complying with all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations, which may require Ace owners to reimburse employees for the use of their mobile device. Ace owners should also consult their attorney to adopt a written expense reimbursement

This Agreement shall commence on the date you send this Agreement and shall continue for the term of your Membership Agreement, unless earlier terminated in accordance with this Agreement.
