Applications can be submitted by course directors only.
There are two requirements for course accreditation:
1. A score of 12/12 points on non-negotiable parameters.
2. A minimum score of 5/7 points on negotiable parameters.
These scores equate to a passing mark of 89%.

Applications are processed within 30 days.

1. I am a CPoCUS Master Instructor in the track relevant to the course (either CORE MI, RESUS MI, DIAG MI, MSK MI, or UPVA MI). To become a MI, please refer to the MI application form here.

2. I am a Certified member. Please ensure annual membership dues are paid here.

3. All my instructors are CPoCUS IP certified in the track relevant to instruction and Certified members (access to examinations is only available to instructors who are both CPoCUS IP certified and Members). For RESUS, DIAG, or MSK courses, all instructors must be Track Instructors in the track relevant to instruction. CPoCUS can check this for you.

4. All my model/SPs will have a variety of body habitus and age, and be representative of patients encountered in clinical practice.

5. For participants that are introductory course-negative, they will achieve at least 5 introductory scans that can be determinate or indeterminate in each application covered in the course.

6. Before participants become IP certified, my instructors and I will instruct them to address negative scans as being indeterminate.

7. Before participants become IP certified, my instructors and I will instruct them to address positive scans by seeking confirmatory tests (if patient is stable) or immediate consultation (if patient is unstable).

8. All participants will achieve or exceed the CPoCUS number of required determinate scans per application. Every POCUS scan being counted for certification will be supervised by an instructor one-on-one for the ENTIRETY of the scan.

9. I pledge to not distribute certification exams prior to examination.

10. I pledge to conduct Written, Visual, and Practical exams in a manner that meets or exceeds the rigour of the CPoCUS exams.

11. I pledge to uphold CPoCUS values including rigorous standards of POCUS training.

12. I have reviewed the CFPC ethical guidelines for speakers of Mainpro+ certified programs (English guidelines or French guidelines).
