Thank you for participating in this research

Overview: This questionnaire is about feeding infants and young children during emergencies. Please respond to this questionnaire if you are over 18 years of age, you live in Ireland, and you are the primary caregiver of a child under the age of 2. Your responses will help us understand how we can support families with infant and young child feeding in future crises. If you have more than one child under 2, please think about your youngest.

What does taking part in this survey involve? Taking part involves answering an anonymous questionnaire online. This will take approximately 15 minutes. The questionnaire includes questions about your experiences of feeding a child under 2, particularly during this current public health crisis.

Do I have to respond to this questionnaire? No. Your participation is voluntary and you can quit at any time simply by closing the questionnaire. However, once you have completed and submitted the questionnaire, you cannot withdraw your data as the responses are anonymous.

How will my identity and confidentiality be protected? The survey is anonymous and we do not request any identifying information. Any report written based on the results of this survey will not comment on individual responses.

How will my information be used? Your responses will be analysed alongside those of the other survey participants and the results will be presented as group information. We intend to present this research at academic conferences and as a publication in a scientific journal.

Who will have access to the data? Two researchers from Technological University Dublin will have access to the anonymised data; Dr. Liz O'Sullivan and Dr. Aileen Kennedy.

How long will this data be kept? The anonymous data obtained in this study will be retained for 10 years and then destroyed. Dr. Liz O’Sullivan will be the data controller for this study.

Who can I contact if I have any questions about this research study? If you have any questions about this research study, please contact Dr. Liz O'Sullivan at elizabeth.osullivan@tudublin.ie.
