About this self-assessment tool
This self-assessment tool has been designed by the Community Services Industry Alliance (CSIA) to help organisations to think about opportunities for improving their inclusion of people with disability into the community and mainstream services.
In particular, it aims to support organisations to be ready to identify and to take advantage of business opportunities that will arise within the NDIS through the Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) Program.
The tool contains many links to information and resources that might help you in your thinking and planning around inclusion and potential ILC grants.
Working through the questions in this tool will also help you and your organisation to:

- think about what inclusion might look like in your area of work and how you might help to increase inclusion of people with a disability
- be more prepared to put together an application for ILC funding, or to identify whether there may be alternative ways of delivering an inclusion project
- give your project idea and your application the best chance of being successful
- find the information and support that you might need to put together a project plan and/or application.
If you have a great idea for a project but need help in some way, the online community Inclusion Ready Online is there for you to ask questions, look for other who might work or partner with you, and find other resources that might help you.
These topics will be explored through sections 3-5 of the following:
- What is the ILC and how might it be relevant?
- Do I have a project idea that aligns with the ILC intent?
- Do I have evidence to support the project need and a plan to demonstrate expected outcomes?
- Do I have a plan and resources to develop the idea and implement the project?
- Am I ready to put together an ILC grant application?
All information collected through this self-assessment will be kept confidential. At the end of the self-assessment, you have the option of receiving a PDF of your completed self-assessment via email from CSIA.
