Illinois TRIO 2022 Professional Conference - Call For Proposals
Virtual Zoom Platform CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS
The Illinois TRIO Professional Development Conference Committee, is seeking professionals to volunteer to present at the Virtual Illinois TRIO Annual Professional Development Conference on Wed, April 14 - Fri, April 16, 2021. Our President Lolita L. Mack's theme this year is “Utilizing Transparency and Integrity to Strengthen our Foundation. We are seeking professional development workshops that are engaging and interactive.
Possible topics may include, but not limited to: • Work/ Life Balance - during COVID-19 pandemic and related topics
• Financial Literacy • Technology • Government Relations and Advocacy • Resources for Undocumented Students • Recruitment and Retention Strategies • STEM Education • The New SAT • Alumni Tracking Resources • Addressing Mental Health Issues • Legislation and Regulations • Program Best Practices • Fostering Student Civic Engagement • IL TRIO Association - Getting Involved in Committees • Staff Management Best Practices • Building Relationships with EOP Programs • Sustaining Relationships within Your Program/School/Community • Self-Care & Self- Love • Student Success Stories • Access & Equity • Diversity & Inclusion Workshop Proposals will be reviewed based on interest, content and relevance to the conference theme.
Concurrent sessions will be Thursday, April 15 from 10:00am - 11:00am and 1:00pm - 2:00pm. Each session will last 60 minutes. Please let us know if you are able to present for both time frames.
The deadline for the submissions are Monday, March 22, 2021.
