Indigenous and Local Knowledge Publication Submission Form

Please use this form to submit relevant publications and resources which amplify, celebrate, communicate, and support Indigenous and local knowledge in ocean science sectors to the ILK resource database managed by the UN Ocean Decade.

This database is accessible to all via OceanExpert here: https://oceanexpert.org/document/37821. It will be updated on a rolling basis with submissions via this.

Resources may include, but are not limited to:
  • guidance documents regarding co-design/co-production with Indigenous peoples and local communities,
  • publications sharing Indigenous-led projects,
  • webpages containing regular funding opportunities to support Indigenous people and local communities in ocean science, or supporting co-design,
  • explainer documents articulating what Indigenous and local knowledge is, or
  • capacity building resources supporting Indigenous people and local communities to lead and engage with ocean science.
You may only submit one resource at a time. Feel free to submit the form as many times as necessary to include all resources you feel others should be aware of.

Please ONLY submit resources which are publicly accessible where the authors/lead organisation are eager to share their outputs. If a resource has not been shared publicly, we do not have permission to share it via our Decade hosted database.
