Photographic and Video/Audio Permission and Release Form

* I grant the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), U.S. Department of Commerce, or any person acting under the direction of NIST, permission to photograph, video and/or audio record me, my presentation, and activities in which I am involved.

This permission gives NIST the non-exclusive right to post, distribute, broadcast, and stream these photos, images and/or video and audio clips on to its website, social media sites or to otherwise publish them or allow third parties to publish them for educational, historical, or other non-commercial uses that are in line with NIST’s mission.

NIST may shorten and edit these presentations and recordings for the purpose of improving viewing quality or for highlighting the event on social media or the web. Edits will not be made to intentionally alter the content of the presentation.

I represent that my presentation is my original work except for portions that are included with permission. I further represent that my presentation contains no libelous or unlawful statements and does not infringe or violate any copyright or trademark of others.

Furthermore when sharing my participation on social media, I understand that while I may re-share NIST created social media posts, I may not create my own graphic or announcement using the NIST logo. I also understand that I may not include the NIST logo on materials I produce in connection with my presentation, such as slides.

I understand that all media, video, audio or other materials produced by NIST will be the property of NIST and subsequently may be in the public domain. Such materials produced by NIST contractors may be subject to copyright protection.
