The program is seeking both mentees and mentors to participate.

The IEEE Photonics Society invites attendees, members, and volunteers to participate in an IEEE Mentor Match offering while at OFC 2025, supported by the Society's Young Professionals Advisory Committee. This program is designed to help students and early career, up to 15 years post their first degree, to expand their networks, gain career insights, and receive guidance from senior professionals in photonics.

How It Works: Mentor matches will be paired by technical interests, volunteer experience, and/or mentorship needs, and will be shared with participants a few days before the conference's start. The structure of the mentor-mentee relationship will be flexible, allowing for various forms of interaction such as having lunch together, meeting at a conference event or evening reception, attending a technical session, connecting during a workshop or symposium, or even chatting over coffee.

The way mentors and mentees connect is left to the discretion of the pairing. The effort and engagement you put into the relationship will impact what you get out of the experience together.

Please complete the form below by Wednesday, March 26, 2025 in order to participate.
