Introduction and Instructions

The secretary of the district shall solicit from all member congregations of the district names of persons who are regarded as suitable candidates for election to other district offices.  As the names of persons who are suggested as suitable candidates for election to other district offices are being received, the secretary of the district shall document both their approval to be considered for nomination by the nominating committee and the information required of nominees as specified in the District Handbook, paragraph 9.17 b.
This nomination form is divided up into five different pages. The first page briefly describes how to navigate and use this form. The second page is the nomination page for the Minister of Religion—Ordained. You will nominate someone and then right next to their name and contact information, you will select which service area you are nominating them for (this process is the same for each nomination page). The third page is the nomination page for Minister of Religion-Commissioned. The fourth page is the nomination page for Lay Persons. It also includes a section to include "Suggested Names for Nominees for the Synod Committee for Convention Nominations." The fifth page is the final page and must be filled out for your information to be recorded. This page is where you will enter the congregational information and submit the form. The names submitted must come from congregations and not from individuals. You must complete the entire form before exiting the form, there is no save feature and all progress will be lost if you do not complete. Secretary, Rev. Richard Merrill
