OVERVIEW

The IDEA Fund is Missouri Technology Corporation's state-sponsored venture capital program that invests in Missouri-based scalable high-growth companies, empowering the launch of innovative products and solutions and creating economic impact for the state.

All MTC investments require private matching funds to ensure state and federal funds are invested in the most attractive opportunities.

The IDEA Fund offers the following 3 programs:
TechLaunch - investment requests from $100,000 - $250,000 for pre-seed funding rounds
Seed Capital - investment request from $250,000+ to $1,000,000 for seed funding rounds
Venture Capital - investment requests from $1,000,000+ to $4,000,000, typically for Series A funding rounds (lead investor required)

PRO TIP: The amount requested from MTC should be 25% or less of the total round size indicated, e.g. requests of $250,000 should be for a funding round of $1 million or more.
Before you start your application: MTC recommends companies use the PDF copy of the IDEA Fund Application to prepare answers to the application questions in advance and then copy and paste them into Survey Monkey when the company is ready to submit its application. The Survey Monkey portal may not save your answers over an extended period of time so please keep a separate copy of your response.
