Introduction to the survey

The Center for Green Schools, with technical support from ASHRAE, is conducting a survey to understand the implementation of ventilation, filtration, and other building control measures by schools in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a follow-up survey of prior work that The Center for Green Schools and ASHRAE conducted in Spring 2021.

The goal of this survey is to:

1)     Learn about the adoption by K-12 schools of ventilation, filtration, and other building-related measures for infection control in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2)     Learn how factors, including any recommendations or guidance, influence the adoption of various measures.
3)     Learn about barriers or challenges faced by school districts in their current response, and how to better support future planning.

This survey should be answered by someone in charge of or very familiar with facilities management. We are seeking one response per K-12 school district. Answers should reflect a district-level view of the building control measures implemented by schools throughout the district.

The survey is short and designed to take about 20 minutes to complete. The information you provide is valuable and informs strategies to improve indoor air quality (IAQ) and health in schools.

The Center for Green Schools plans to share anonymized data with other researchers for data analysis. Publicly-available data about your district will also be accessed as part of the data analysis. We will not disclose the names of participating school districts in our reporting.
