Introduction

Indigenous Allied Health Australia are seeking to understand from you how COVID-19 has influenced health practice and education in Australia, with a focus on the experiences and perspectives of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander allied health workforce.

The project will also evaluate the supports needed during times of health emergencies and similar scenarios, including the role of IAHA as a peak organisation and other key stakeholders. This will not only help refine the supports currently available, but it will identify gaps to address and contribute to the evidence base of workforce support needs.

Your participation in this survey is voluntary. It will take approximately 20 minutes of your time and  you can choose to exit the survey at any time. A follow up survey will be sent to all IAHA members in the second quarter of 2021. IAHA would welcome your participation at that time, however completing this survey does not obligate you to complete the second survey.

IAHA understand that reflecting on the challenges and events experienced during this time can be difficult. IAHA have policies and procedures in place to support members who may be experiencing distress, and we encourage you to contact IAHA should you have any concerns.

Should require other support, including crisis support, services you can contact include:

·         Lifeline 13 11 14
·         Suicide Call Back Service 1300 659 467
·         Beyond Blue Support Service 1300 224 636
·         Bush Support Services (for rural and remote students and professionals) 1800 805 391

Your participation in this survey is confidential, no personal identifiers are collected and IAHA will not publish any data which could be used to identify any individual.

Please see the participation information sheet for further details. If you have any questions about the research study please contact Paul Gibson on policy@iaha.com.au.
