I grew up on a Northwest Iowa farm working the land and learning carpentry with my dad. I graduated Northwestern College with a BA in Art/Education and from there accepted a teaching job in Madrid, IA where my family and I yet reside. My passion for construction led me to starting my own construction company during the summers off from teaching. After 11 years of teaching in the community, I was led to the job with Polk County Conservation. In joining the Winterfest Planning Committee, I have been fortunate to integrate my passions of continuing education, construction and conservation. I am dedicated in all areas of my life, self-motivated, love to network and excited to provide a new light into the IACCBE. I would be honored to serve as VP of IACCBE.

I am honored to be your candidate for the IACCBE Secretary/Treasurer position. I am currently serving as your secretary/treasurer, being appointed this past June. I am seeking to be elected to continue what I have started in my short time! I have been Webster County Conservation’s office manager for the past 3 years. I handle our revenue, expenditures, payroll, reservations, event registration, marketing and general secretarial duties. I also serve in an ex officio position for the Fort Dodge Convention and Visitors Bureau Board. . I am proud to be a part of a county conservation system that plays a huge role in bringing kids back to nature! I have the support from my director and board to continue to contribute to the purpose and effort of our association. I would truly appreciate your vote of support.
