The Hudson County Internship Program offers your business access to pre-trained, grant-funded or employer-funded college interns, paid at $20/hour for up to 75 hours.
Built on an ACE framework: Apply, Connect, Elevate, this program equips interns with career readiness training to ensure they make meaningful contributions to your business while gaining valuable experience.

Interns will have the opportunity to:
Apply their knowledge in real-world settings
Connect with career pathways in skilled trades, innovation, and community impact
Elevate their futures through hands-on learning

Fall Enrollment Now Open: Fall Internship Dates: September 22 2025 - November 14, 2025

This internship program builds a strong pipeline of skilled talent for local businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies. Led by the Hudson County Improvement Authority (HCIA) in partnership with the Hudson County Economic Development Corporation (HCEDC), it provides employers with access to motivated interns from Hudson County Community College, New Jersey City University, and an expanding network of schools across Hudson County.

  • Must be located in Hudson County, NJ
  • Provide an internship experience that fits program pathways (Skills-Based, Business & Entrepreneurial or Community & Civic Impact)
  • Minimum 10-15 hours /week for intern and 75 or 200 total hours within designated semester dates (Spring and Summer currently available)
  • Assign a dedicated supervisor to guide the intern’s experience.
