2018 Kāpiti Arts Trail: Hub Manager Application

Venue Application Form

The annual Kāpiti Arts Trail provides a showcase for artists living and/or working in the Kāpiti Coast District. It is a great opportunity for the public to meet established and emerging artists at work in their studios, and to view artworks exhibited in a variety of venues.

The event runs over two weekends, the last weekend of October and first weekend of November. The dates and times for the 2018 Kāpiti Arts Trail are:

Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 October, 10am to 5pm

AND
Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 November, 10am to 5pm.

There are three categories to apply under:
a) Artist in Studio/Artist in Hub;
b) Hub Manager; and

c) Established Art Gallery, Art Society, and Guild.

Use this form to apply as an Hub Manager.
Definition: For the purposes of this application, a Hub is a larger space with multiple artists exhibiting during both weekends of the Kāpiti Arts Trail. The Hub accepts the artists (in accordance with the criteria in the FAQ) before those artists submit their individual applications and paying their application fee.

I hereby give Kāpiti Coast District Council permission to use the information and images that I have provided, to promote this venue, the work of the artists exhibiting at this venue ("Artists in Hub")and the Kāpiti Arts Trail in any publicity media. I agree that I have the consent of each Artist in Hub to provide their information and images to the Council for these purposes. I give Kāpiti Coast District Council permission to store this application information and images in the Kāpiti Arts Trails records within the Kāpiti Coast District Council.

I acknowledge that I am responsible for all arrangements, financial agreements, agreements and communications with Artists in Hub exhibiting at this venue, and all other undertakings relating to this venue. I agree to ensure that all Artists in Hub exhibiting in this venue have been accepted in accordance with the criteria in the Kāpiti Arts Trail FAQ before submitting this application.

I confirm that all the artists exhibiting at this Hub live and/or work in the Kāpiti Coast district. I agree that all artworks in the Hub are made by the artists named in this application. I agree that only the artist/s named on the application form will have their work on display in the Hub during the Kāpiti Arts Trail, and only those artists are in attendance to present their work during the Arts Trail.

I agree to complete a survey form provided by the Kāpiti Coast District Council and return this to the Kāpiti Coast District Council within two weeks of the completion of the Kāpiti Arts Trail.

I understand that Kāpiti Coast District Council is not carrying insurance to cover events that happen at my Arts Trail location including injury, damage or any other type of calamity. I agree to hold harmless Kāpiti Coast District Council, its employees, officers, volunteers and other helpers from any and all claims, actions, demands or other proceedings for any actual or alleged injury to persons or damage to property for any reason whatsoever and/or arising out of any act or omission of myself and the premises that I am responsible for as an artist-managed venue.

I agree that if my application is successful that this Hub will be open to the public during the opening hours of both weekends of the Kāpiti Arts Trail.

I understand that the Kāpiti Coast District Council’s decision on each application is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
