Housing Strategic Policy Committee (SPC) 2019 - Environmental Rep |
PPN Representative Nomination Form
The Strategic Policy Committee (SPC) for Housing brings together both elected members and other interests such as the trade unions, environmental, social inclusion, community & voluntary sectors, construction and business community to formulate, review or develop policies related to council services.
This involvement from relevant interests enables the SPC to best prepare the groundwork for policies which are then decided on by the Local Authority. This model of working provides elected members with external views to assist them in their strategic role in the development of the Local Authority.
Strategic Policy Committee Functions
The following sets out some of the topics that may be covered by Economic Development & Enterprise SPC but it will depend on the annual work programme that is normally agreed by the SPC at the start of their term.
