11.
Which of the following options would you prefer for the trail crossing at SR 429?
(Required.)
Option #1 is the most direct trail connection to an existing trail Phase 1A. This is just west of the Southbound SR 429 Off-Ramp relatively parallel to SR 429 but at surface street level. Please note that Engineering controls such as rapid flashing beacons, signage and special pavement markings could be utilized to make the crossing as safe as possible.
Option #2 is a “mid-block” crossing and would add anywhere from about 600 to 1200 feet to the length of the trail. This would not occur at a dedicated traffic light or existing crossing.
Option #3 Out-and-Back down the north side of Stoneybrook Parkway to Towne Commons Boulevard (Stoneybrook West Main Entrance across from Whispering Oaks Elementary). The trail would cross toward Whispering Oaks Elementary and then back east to the south trail Phase 1A connection. This out and back loop adds approximately 4,200 feet.
