Hello there! Thank you for your interest in filling out this survey.

About
The My Home My Community: Pathways to Homeownership Demonstration initiative is a project that aims to open doors to inclusive, affordable homeownership for people with developmental disabilities. The goal of this initiative is to document pathways used by people with developmental disabilities to reach stable homeownership. The case study report will be accompanied by a number of knowledge dissemination tools to help other people with developmental disabilities replicate these proven approaches.

Purpose
As part of this research, we hope to hear from legal and financial professionals across Canada, with varying levels of experience (from none to extensive) in working with people who have developmental disabilities. Our aim is to understand the current state of how professionals are helping people with developmental disabilities pursue homeownership, as well as identify any areas where the creation of knowledge tools could be beneficial. In addition to this survey, we plan to have follow-up interviews to discuss the legal and financial considerations that go into homeownership for people with developmental disabilities in further detail.

Research Team
The project is led by the Institute for Research and Development on Inclusion and Society (IRIS), facilitated in partnership with Inclusion Canada and People First of Canada and their member organizations.
